The Position

In September 2012, London Business School launched the largest campaign it has ever undertaken, with a goal of £100M.  It will serve to support the School's world-class research, academic programmes and innovative new facilities.

The School is looking for a driven and dynamic Senior Development Manager to proactively manage a substantive portfolio of prospects and deliver major gifts, playing a key role in bringing your portfolio to a point of 6 and 7 figure solicitations for the upcoming Campaign.

The Department

The Advancement department encompasses Alumni Relations, Annual Giving and Development. Its purpose is to lead on the development and enhancement of the London Business School community.  The department's key activities are managing our relationship with our alumni and fundraising from individuals, corporations, foundations and trusts, by developing and leveraging proactive and long-term relationships with these constituents.

Major Gifts is part of the Development Team which raised the philanthropic funds needed to support the School's ambitious growth and to secure its position in the premier league of business schools.  To achieve this, the department works closely with external bodies and internal departments, such as the Dean, Governing Body, faculty, students, staff, alumni, friends, corporations, foundations and others. Members of the Advancement department at all levels have a major role to play in the success of the School's advancement efforts by working to build important relationships and promote the image of the School.

The Individual

The successful applicant would ideally be a target-driven and proactive fundraiser who is confident in developing and maintaining relationships at a senior level.  Your proven track record in major gifts fundraising and your exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills will be integral to your success in the role.
